Long Grass Croquet: Competitive, strategic, social, and fun!
Experience the thrill of competitive croquet in the picturesque foothills of the Rocky Mountains. Whether you're a backyard player or aiming for a challenge, Boulder LongGrass Croquet is the perfect opportunity to elevate your game. Just step onto the court and take your croquet skills to new heights!
Boulder LongGrass Croquet provides free croquet lessons and all the equipment needed for play tournament-level croquet. Open play games are organized in some of Boulder's most scenic public parks.

No regular, organized croquet play exists in Boulder despite its population of 100,000+, 60 public parks, 2 Universities, and 300 days of sunshine. The nearest public croquet club, the Denver Croquet Club is located on the south side of Denver.

Croquet is a fun, social activity that is enjoyed in a relaxed outdoor setting.
Playing croquet can help improve hand-eye coordination, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills - all while playing a fun game in Boulder's beautiful parks. It provides an opportunity to interact with others, engage in friendly competition, and build relationships through shared experiences. Croquet can often be played while athletes recover from injuries in more strenuous but less cerebral sports. For older adults who not longer enjoy playing golf, tennis, or soccer, croquet may be the perfect way to keep your competitive outdoor spirit.

Boulder LongGrass Croquet offers free lessons to beginners and to anyone wanting to improve their croquet game. These lessons are intended to generate interest in regular, competitive croquet games in Boulder’s public spaces.

About Me.
I'm Todd, the founder of Boulder LongGrass Croquet. I played cutthroat backyard croquet in New Jersey in the 1960's (any rover ball was poison). I learned 9-Wicket Long Grass Croquet (with deadness) at Duke University’s Marine Laboratory in Beaufort, North Carolina and played for 8 years in 1980’s. I have been a member of Denver Croquet Club for 9 years. I actively play Golf Croquet, 6-Wicket American Croquet, 6-Wicket Association Croquet, and
9-Wicket Long Grass Croquet and have played in club, regional and national United States Croquet Association (USCA) Tournaments in all four of these croquet games.
